Fillings: Alloys and Composites

At Eckart Dental, patients have the option to select the type of filling to be used to restore a decayed area of the tooth.

The historical standard “silver filling” is a metal alloy. It has been proven successful for generations.

Newer on the market, and more esthetically pleasing, is the “white filling”. This type of restoration is a mixture of plastics and its technology of materials continues to improve in strength and longevity.
